Tip 1: Cleaning brass-ware. Have you noticed that your cooking pots have lost their shine? There is one easy way to regain it, green cleaning with lemon. The trick is simple. Cut a lemon in half and rub the pot with salt. Rub vigorously and then rinse well. How is it now?

Tip 2: Carpet cleaning. If you like berries, we bet that such stains are an everyday occurrence. When you notice a berry-juice drop on the carpet, hurry up and get a lemon. Squeeze some juice directly on the spot. If the carpet is in light colours you may want to put it on direct sunlight.

Tip 3: Ink stains – imagine a fresh ink spill on your carpet. That is a the worst sight ever. Carpet cleaning has seen horrible ink splashes, but here is something new but effective. Lemon turns out to be one of the most powerful stain removers, as it can loosen even ink stains. First blot the stain to transfer it to a soft cloth. Then get some fresh lemon juice and sprinkle well. Pour salt on. Cover it well. Rub with an old toothbrush. Rinse immediately.

Tip 4: Stainless steel cleaning – your sink needs some refreshment for sure. Then a paste of baking soda and lemon will not only make it clean but also deodorise it.

Tip 5: Whatever you intend to clean the main thing you need remember is to be quick. Lemons clean well, but it also loosens colours as its natural acids can whiten anything. Rinse well and immediately after applying to prevent discolouration.
