home and mood improvementIf you are bored and uninspired when you enter the door of you home, you definitely need some home improvement and redecoration. We have gathered some interesting ideas that will boost your mood and make you feel great in your own home.

It may be true that people react differently to stimuli. Some odours for example may recall nostalgic feelings and memories from the past. If that works for you get a cleaner that smells well – it may be fruit or flowers aroma. When you clean the sink and tables, the good aroma will serve as a mood booster.

Now that your home is clean and refreshed, you can try to find what disturbs your attention and  makes you nervous at the end of the day. This is mainly clutter which you should deal with quite easily. The best way to do some home improvement is to make it as you go. Listen to some jolly music that will motivate you to move around and collect old mail, newspapers, etc. Get rid of all useless possessions, do not let clutter build up, as it is said that it absorbs negative energy.

A smart move is to let more light in. Only during the hot summer days, you may need to block direct sun light. Light is crucial for your mood as dark and gloomy places make you sleepy. It may be even artificial light. Candles are a perfect solution. Light up a candle when you are feeling down. Choose a scent that is refreshing. Remember that you did get a cleaner that smells well, try to find a candle scented in the same way.

Make rooms more spacious. You strain your eyes, you can barely move around, that is not the way you can relax. Move the furniture and re-arrange it. Clear the living room, move the sofa near the window to enjoy the day or night view.

Boost your mood by improving your home, this is worth trying.
